I was worked only on internal rdc tool and external team viewer. Now i have new experience to start work on pcanywhere.
Team viewer i was used for the broadband site users where no internal connectivity available.
what is the good option in pcanywhere, can i have the get the access of broadband site users?
I know that pcantwhere is not worked in window-8. I have seen some of the forums where mention no support for window-8.
Any estimate time that whenever it can come under support?
Anyother option that will fullfil my requirement?
User is asking the question that when ever pcanywhere request come. There is no tab to cancel that request.
How to make this modification to add it?

We recently upgraded to NS 7.5 and it wants to push a sub agent update for pcAnywhere. We've found that the actual software version of anywhere doesn't change from 12.5.4.8211. Only the Plugin dll changes from 12.6.8209 to 12.6.8556
New
Programs and Features version 12.5.4.8211
Plugin 12.6.8556
Old
Programs and Features 12.5.4.8211
Plugin 12.6.8209
In any case, some of our installs of pcAnywhere are missing the Host service that actually listens for an incoming connection. As the software version that controls this doesn't change, the plugin upgrade doesn't fix the missing service. I should also mention that we are going from a standard install to a host only install for our clients. Perhaps that is causing an issue.
If I remove pcAnywhere from programs and features, reboot, and then reinstall it using Symantec_pcA_AutoStart_NopcAQuickConnect_Host.exe /qn then the host service gets reinstalled properly. However, NS never pushes client settings and so no user credentials work for logon. I've tried a local admin account, in which case it doesn't problem for credentials again, but it simply exits.
So lets say that 10% of our 16,000 computers need a reinstall. I need a method that doesn't require creating NS filters and waiting a day for it to decide it wants to install, then changing the filter to install PCA again. We do have Altiris DS 6.9 as a tool available to assist. I can make the reinstall happen using DS 6.9, but then need to make NS push settings.
I have PCA v12.5.5 installed on a workstation and laptop (both WIN7), I need to copy (or move) the Remotes (around 200 or so) from the workstation to the laptop. I quickly discovered simply copying the CHF files into the laptop's C:\ProgramData\Symantec\pcAnywhere\Remotes directory doesn't work - how can I accomplish the task? thanks!!

When ITMS is upgraded to version 7.6, the pcAnywhere Solution management components will be removed. New installations of ITMS version 7.6 will not include pcAnywhere. As an alternative, Symantec has partnered with Bomgar to provide an enterprise class remote access solution with integration into the console.

I don't know what kind of answers I can get on this, since I know that PcAnywhere has discontinued support, and has put the product on the "sunset" list.
I was very disappointed that they are no longer enhancing the product, but am posting this anyway. I have 2 machines that are running Windows 8.1, 64-Bit and another that is running Windows 10 64-bit. I was able to successfully load PcAnywhere version 12.5.5 Build 1206 on both machines, and with a little "tweaking" of security settings, I was able to get BOTH MACHINES to work with it...with one exception.
Using Remote TCP/IP Connections from either of these machines to a Windows 7, 32-bit machine and to a Windows XP machine works perfectly. However, when the Windows 10 and Windows 8.1 machines are set up as "Hosts" and you attempt to make a Remote Connection TO THEM, regardless of machine type that you connect FROM, the host refresh rate back to the remote machine is VERY SLOW.
I have read every blog and answer I could find on the web and on Symantec's support sites, and have tried disabling the Mirror Driver, updated the pcanyquickconnect.dll file with an update they posted, and checked my router for passing UDP packets, etc. I have updated Video Drivers, Network Card Drivers, etc., all to no avail to make the host refresh back to the remote "quicker."
I'm suspecting the problem has to do with the video graphical enhancements provided on Windows 10 and Windows 8.1, but cannot be sure. The settings on the Graphic options on these 8.1 and 10 host machines are very complicated...things like "Anistropic Filtering,""Async Flip," and "Triple Buffering" are a foreign language to me, and I'm not even sure if changing any of these settings is feasible.
I will write more regarding the problem after getting some ideas from your forum, but was wondering if anyone has had ANY SUCCESS solving speed issues connecting to Windows 10 or Windows 8.1 using TCP/IP, and can give me a better direction on solving the problem. I have also tried running the awhost.exe on these machines under different compatibility modes such as Windows Vista or Windows 7, but it didn't help.
If I have to "live with" the slowness issue I will, but would greatly appreciate it if someone may have a solution to this problem, or ideas on getting it to work better on Windows 10 and 8.1.
Has anyone actually implemented https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.HOWTO110286.html to restore pcAnywhere functionality in ITMS 7.6? If so, has it been working well, or you gave up and switched to Bomgar as suggested by Symantec? I just don't like the idea that Bomgar is a separate virtual appliance that may come at a cost if you decide to continue maintenance and isn't a solution that's truly integrated with Altiris (i.e. it's not a simple component that you'd load via the SIM); not to mention the limited 2 free concurrent user licenses in contrast with pcA usage.
